🌕🐺🌹 Not the Update I Wanted to Share… New Book Has Been (Slightly) Delayed.

Hey again,

I’m writing this update with a bit of sadness and disappointment. Unfortunately, my Romantasy Gothic The Curse of the Wolf and the Red Maiden will not be ready in time for its planned October 13th release.

I’m still deep in the editing and rewriting stage, and over the past few weeks I’ve had to accept that rushing the book simply to meet the original deadline would not be fair to the story—or to all of you who have been patiently waiting to read it.

Life has also been moving very quickly lately. Between traveling to Oxford to research the city for the book, moving to a new home, work, and everything that comes with everyday life, I haven’t been able to give the final editing process the time I originally expected.

But there is also something positive behind the delay.

As I continued revising the novel, the story continued to evolve into something richer and more emotionally tragic (and spicier 🌶️🌶️ 🥵) than I originally planned. Characters gained more depth, relationships became more meaningful and grounded, and parts of the story that I thought were finished revealed opportunities to become much more interconnected between character arcs.

I did not want to ignore the improvements simply because of a deadline.

Instead, I wish The Curse of the Wolf and the Red Maiden to be the best version of itself when it finally reaches your hands. Because of that, I will most likely have to extend the release date, with the high hopes of bringing the book to you toward the end of the year.

That being said, since you’ve been with me on this journey, I thought I’d share a few character cards we’ve been working on for the book with more coming soon! (Note: If you'd wish to purchase physical Character Cards, they will be coming soon after the release of the book, bundled with any purchase of a signed copy, soon available on my website.)
